Welcome to My Sister’s Sweeper, where ancient Appalachian traditions meet modern artistry. I craft hand-made besoms using natural broom corn, each one infused with intention, intuition, and love. Every knot, wrap, color, and charm carries symbolic meaning, creating functional art pieces with their own unique energy and personality. My work honors the legacy of the women who came before me -my grandmother, mother-in-law, and ancestors- who crafted brooms by hand, keeping these sacred skills alive for future generations.

Beyond creating beautiful brooms, My Sister’s Sweeper is a celebration of sisterhood and the ways women lift each other up daily. Our motto, ‘Brothers have keepers, sisters have sweepers,’ is a play on “My brother’s keeper” reflecting the deep connection and support that defines our community. These are not just decorative pieces; they are powerful tools for cleansing and healing sacred spaces, grounding us in love and hope. I welcome custom commissions and offer a curated selection of ready-to-fly brooms in our online shop, each one a testament to traditional craftsmanship and intentional creation.
